Dr. Keith J. Jepsen Elected Chairman of National Student Clearinghouse
Board of Directors
HERNDON, VA, October 18, 2004 - The board of directors of the
National Student Clearinghouse, the nation's most trusted source for
post-secondary degree and enrollment verification, has elected Dr. Keith J.
Jepsen to serve as chairman of its board. Dr. Jepsen, who has served on the
Clearinghouse board since 1999, will begin his term immediately.
Dr. Jepsen has more than 35 years of experience in higher education
finance at the national, state and university levels, including serving as a
senior advisor to the U.S. Department of Education. Currently, he is
president of the Global Student Loan Corporation, which provides private
loans to distance learners and international students, and is an adjunct
professor of Higher Education at New York University (NYU). Dr. Jepsen is
the former national chairman of Project EASI (Easy Access for Students and
Institutions), a collaborative effort among government, business and
education leaders to reengineer the U.S. student financial aid delivery
system. In addition, Dr. Jepsen has held positions as director of financial
aid at NYU, chief operating officer at the Illinois State Scholarship
Commission, and assistant vice president and director of operations at the
American College Testing Program.
